LUPUS: A GP Guide to Diagnosis

Introduction

It is hoped that this Guide will be used as a Reference by General Practitioners seeing patients who present with a number of symptoms which are not easily categorised.

My personal thanks go to all the medical consultants who have provided the individual chapters for this guide, to Dr. Graham Hughes for his involvement and support during its production, to Dr. John Delamere who checked through the manuscript and gave excellent advice, to Prof. Peter Lachmann for his encouragement, to the patients who so kindly gave permission for the photographs to be included and to all involved with LUPUS UK who have worked so hard to raise the funding to enable the guide to be produced.
